On the Run

We put the rats in their outside cage and they managed to tunnel out.  I caught 2 of them but the third was nowhere to be found.  We left food on the porch in hopes she'd return in the evening.

The next morning we saw a few tracks and were hopeful that they were hers.  We searched again but Annie was still missing.

By afternoon I doubted we'd see her again.  The neighbor has a cat and we suspected she had headed in that direction.

Then something surprising happened.  Our neighbor came over to ask if we were missing a pet!  Apparently he was sitting on his deck when Annie came to join him. lol!  I imagine he was startled when he saw a black rat running at his feet.  He attempted to catch her in a bucket but after a few failed attempts he came to get us.   He said he could tell she was friendly but didn't want to touch her.

Heidi walked into his yard and grabbed Annie.  I'm so grateful she was unharmed.  Many people would have tried to "get rid" of the rat.   We're happy to have her back.

Sun & Sand

Our last day with the girls we decided to go to the reservoir.  I should have been packing for camp but  it was too nice outside.  

I asked Kolton to pack a few towels.  It wasn't until later that we realized he had accidentally put hand towels in the bag. lol

Naynay and Notnot

The girls came over again and we spent the day at the zoo.  Before we saw the animals we played at the park for a bit.

I didn't want the baby to get a sunburn.  Since I didn't have a hat we improvised.

It was Father's Day so we also went to the museum.  The kids did great.  

Graduation

Borrowed Baby

  My friend let her two adorable girls hangout for an afternoon.  Sometimes it's nice to have a baby to cuddle.  :)  We had to take shifts holding the baby because everyone was arguing for a turn.  She went home quite spoiled.  

Dresses

I cut back on my computer time.  After school I've been quilting and managed to made a few outfits for the girls.  Here is Annika's new dress.  I also made a skirt for Heidi.  In the evenings I play video games instead of blogging.  Occasionally I go to the gym. It's been a busy few weeks.
